Donate A Vehicle

Whether you live in Calabash or Leland, help us eliminate the obstacles of employment, that is unreliable transportation. Reliable transportation creates independence and the ability to tend to family necessities like doctor visits and grocery shopping.

Don't Trade It, Donate It!

Donate your car today and receive a tax advantage.  Your donated vehicle helps low-income Brunswick County area residents get reliable transportation for work and family errands.  Your donated vehicle will be thoroughly inspected, properly serviced, and be readied for the next qualified Brunswick County area owner that might live in Varnamtown or Shallotte.

Whether your vehicle donation comes from Oak Island or Northwest, CARS4theCounty.Org will include AAA Carolina Motor Club 1 year membership for the new owner of your donated vehicle.  AAA Carolina provides emergency help when you need it most; flat tire service when traveling on route 17, out of gas situations on route 211, and unanticipated breakdowns or accidents on the roadway; 24 hours a day, everyday, 7 days a week.  The AAA Carolina membership includes

100 miles of free towing.

How much is my donated car worth?

Within 10 days after receiving your donated vehicle, CARS4theCounty.Org will notify you the way in which we intend to use your donation. If we determine that your vehicle will be used to further the ministry purposes by giving your vehicle to a qualified Brunswick County area resident or by using ministry funds to repair your vehicle, you are then allowed to take the fair market value for your vehicle as described in many car value guides, such as Kelley Blue Book. If we decide it’s not financially feasible to repair your vehicle and we dispose of it in the condition it was donated, you would be allowed to claim the amount we receive for the car. Within 14 days of its sale, we will notify you of the amount we received for it and the way in which the funds were used. Christian Automotive Repairs & Sales is responsible for filing IRS form 1098-C on your behalf.
